About Melanie
Melanie is a compassionate and holistic End-of Life-Doula based in Melbourne, Australia. After years of working in supportive roles and feeling a deep personal calling, she completed the Intensive End of Life Doula Course through Preparing the Way, and now offers non-medical, practical, and emotional support for individuals and families navigating the end of life.
A calling to end of life work
The death of Melanie’s father and a close friend sparked her realisation that people nearing the end of life need an advocate: someone to walk beside them, honour their wishes, and ensure they are supported with dignity and care. That experience led her to this work, driven by the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, empowered, and cared for during life’s final chapter.
Support for the whole journey with tailored support
Melanie helps people and families across the entire end-of-life journey - before, during and after death - by providing calm, compassionate guidance that reduces emotional and administrative burdens. What sets her apart is her attentive listening and tailored support.
Who Melanie supports
Melanie provides end of life support to people who are living well and planning ahead, as well as those diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Sometimes she is contacted directly by the person themselves, and other times by a family member, friend, or carer seeking additional support. Her services are flexible, person-centred, and tailored to each individual’s situation.
