Calm, practical, unhurried support to help you care for your person after death. This may include shaving, washing and dressing your person; creating a calm, respectful environment; supporting family involvement (as much or as little as desired); guidance on what to expect in the hours after death.
Having calm, experienced support at this time can reduce overwhelm and allow families to spend time with their person in a more grounded and meaningful way. This can also improve your grief outcomes as you will be supported to take your time to say your goodbyes.
With permission, this service is available in homes, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, or other care settings.
Melanie will bring required items (excluding towels) - client to provide towels.
Melanie suggests allowing a minimum of three hours for this service.
